Mobile app development for Hong Kong groups and institutions
Our mobile app development work is for organisations with a real operational use for an app, not a brochure in an app store:
- Clinic and hospital groups: patient apps for booking, reminders and records access.
- Retail and F&B chains: member, loyalty and ordering apps tied to the POS or CRM.
- Property developers and insurers: buyer, agent and adviser apps that hand enquiries to the sales team.
- Universities and international schools: student, parent and admissions apps.
- Groups with field or branch staff: internal tools that replace spreadsheets and chat groups.
We work for the organisation, never directly for its customers, and every app is scoped against the outcome it has to move.
App development: native, cross-platform or web app
- Native iOS and Android when the app leans on the camera, location, Bluetooth or offline use.
- Cross-platform for most booking, membership and internal apps, because one codebase serves both stores.
- Web app or PWA when people open it from a link and no store listing is needed.
We recommend one after discovery, based on what the app has to do. Every build connects to the CRM, booking system and WhatsApp flows you already run, so staff work in one record. Where the app sits beside a new website, it shares the back end with our web design and development Hong Kong work.
PDPO consent inside the app
Under the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance, using personal data for direct marketing needs the person's consent, with the kinds of marketing stated, and a free opt-out at any time.
In an app: a separate marketing-consent step at sign-up, push and in-app messages classed as service or marketing, and opt-outs synced to your CRM, email and WhatsApp lists. Health content in clinic-group apps is written within Cap. 231, and your data protection lead signs off the wording before release.
What we have built
For Skin & Beam, a Hong Kong aesthetic clinic, we built the booking platform behind its Meta Ads; pre-paid bookings grew from 85 to 362 a month over six months.
Outside Hong Kong, we built the native iOS and Android carrier apps for an Australian freight platform (Ofload), and we built and run Plixitt LMS, the lead-management system behind our own enquiries; it is not a product we sell. Hong Kong projects are run remotely from our Kuala Lumpur headquarters; there is no Hong Kong office.
After launch: store accounts, handover and upkeep
Apps are published under your own Apple and Google developer accounts, and the code, data and hosting access are handed over at launch. After release we can keep the app current with new iOS and Android versions, fix issues and ship new features under a support agreement, or train your in-house team to take it over.
