Last updated November 2026 Quick answer shakalakaa's Shopify developers and WordPress team build, replatform and maintain websites for Australian brands, retail and ecommerce groups and multi-site organisations: Shopify and Shopify Plus stores, WordPress corporate and lead-generation sites, migrations planned to protect search rankings, and maintenance under agreed response times. Each project is scoped and quoted on its own and run from our Sydney office. ## Shopify web design agency work for brands and groups Our Shopify developers build on Shopify and Shopify Plus for brands that sell direct, wholesale or both: custom themes in native Liquid, B2B price lists and ordering portals, subscriptions, and a lean app stack so pages stay fast. The marketing side is on our [ecommerce marketing in Australia](https://shakalakaa.com/au/industries/ecommerce-marketing) page. For Nomad Coffee Group, we rebuilt the stores on Shopify Plus with a wholesale portal for 700+ partner cafés, and mobile storefront conversion rose from 1.6% to 4.24% between January and August 2026. Those landing pages feed our [lead generation in Australia](https://shakalakaa.com/au/services/lead-generation) programs, so each enquiry arrives with its source. ## Website redesign agency and website migration services A redesign or replatform is where rankings are most often lost, so every move is planned before a single page changes: 1. **Inventory.** Every URL recorded with its traffic and backlinks. 2. **Redirect map.** One-to-one 301 redirects for every page that changes address. 3. **Parity checks.** Titles, structured data and internal links carried over or improved. 4. **Launch watch.** Search Console, crawl errors and conversions monitored daily through the first weeks. The same plan covers a WordPress migration service, a Shopify migration from another platform or a full redesign. No agency can guarantee rankings through a migration; a written plan is how we reduce the risk. ## WordPress maintenance services with agreed response times Our WordPress maintenance services, and the Shopify equivalent, run under a service-level agreement that sets response times by severity. Cover includes: - Core, theme and plugin updates, tested on staging first. - Scheduled backups and uptime monitoring. - Security patches and malware clean-up. - Small content and layout changes each month. - A monthly note on speed, uptime and the changes made. Response times and hours are agreed per site in the SLA rather than sold as a standard tier. Projects run from our Sydney office, alongside our [web design in Sydney](https://shakalakaa.com/au/services/web-design-development-sydney). ### Do you build on Shopify Plus as well as Shopify? Yes. Shopify Plus suits brands with wholesale customers, several storefronts or high order volumes, and Shopify suits most single-brand stores. We recommend one after looking at your catalogue, markets and order flow. ### Can you move our site to Shopify or WordPress without losing rankings? We plan every migration with a URL inventory, a full redirect map and parity checks, then watch Search Console after launch. That reduces the risk considerably, but no agency can honestly guarantee rankings. ### How is a website development project priced? Each project is scoped and quoted on its own, and we publish no packages. The number of templates, integrations, migration size and the maintenance cover set the cost. ### Do you work with businesses outside Sydney? Yes. Brands and groups in Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide work with our Sydney team by video, with on-site sessions when a project needs them. Melbourne firms can also read [web design in Melbourne](https://shakalakaa.com/au/services/web-design-melbourne). ### Who owns the site, the theme and the accounts? You do. The Shopify or hosting account sits in your business's name, and custom themes, code and documentation are handed over at launch.
